About

The place to be...

Hello beautiful people

More than just a coffee shop, The Front Room Coffee Lounge is a place to slow down, catch up, work, celebrate and feel at home.

Located in the heart of High Wycombe, we’ve created a welcoming space where speciality coffee, delicious homemade food and genuine community come together. Whether you’re stopping by for your morning coffee, settling in for brunch, working remotely, celebrating a special occasion or simply taking a moment for yourself, we want everyone who walks through our doors to feel welcome.

Founded from a love of great coffee and community, The Front Room has become an award-winning independent coffee lounge in High Wycombe. Alongside speciality coffee and delicious food, we're proud to support local businesses, sustainability and create a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy.

Your local coffee lounge

Coffee, community & homemade treats

The Front Room began in 2018 when our founder, Lauren, discovered the space and instantly saw the opportunity to create something different. Inspired by growing up in Devon and watching her father bring people together through his work in the local community, she wanted to create a place where coffee, conversation and community could all exist under one roof.

The name The Front Room reflects that vision. Traditionally, the front room is where family and friends gather, stories are shared, and everyone feels welcome. That’s exactly the atmosphere we wanted to recreate in the heart of High Wycombe, somewhere you can relax on our comfy sofas, browse our collection of houseplants, borrow a book from the community bookshelf or simply stay a little longer and feel at home.

From the very beginning, the vision has been simple: to create a space where people feel comfortable, connected and valued.

Meet the people behind The Front Room

Built by Family, Friends & Community

Although The Front Room began with Lauren’s vision, it’s never been a one-person story. Lauren’s partner, Glory, has been part of the journey from day one, helping transform ideas into reality while sharing his passion for filmmaking and photography. Together, they’ve built The Front Room’s creative identity, capturing the everyday moments that make the coffee lounge feel genuine, welcoming and personal.

Best friend Carlin soon became a huge part of The Front Room, bringing warmth, personality, bright shirts and the friendly face so many of our regulars know today. Later, Nina joined the team, keeping everything organised behind the scenes and making sure the business runs as smoothly as the coffee machine. Together, they’ve helped create something that’s much bigger than a coffee shop; they’ve helped build a community.

Coffee, community & so much more

A Place to meet, work & celebrate

By day, we serve speciality coffee, freshly prepared breakfasts, brunch, lunch, homemade cakes and seasonal drinks in a relaxed, dog-friendly environment. Our Daily Grind package has become a favourite with remote workers, offering unlimited tea or coffee, lunch, free Wi-Fi and a comfortable space to work away from home.

As the day turns into evening, so does The Front Room. Every Friday and Saturday, we serve handcrafted cocktails, small plates and sharing boards alongside live music, creating the perfect setting to unwind, celebrate or catch up with friends.

Throughout the year, our calendar is packed with events, including sushi masterclasses, paint nights, creative workshops, bingo, karaoke, networking events, family activities, charity fundraisers and monthly jazz nights with Catch 22. We also offer private hire for birthdays, baby showers, wedding celebrations, corporate events and other special occasions, with venue hire and event planning available.

Supporting local businesses has always been at the heart of what we do. Throughout the lounge you’ll find products from independent makers and creatives, while our commitment to sustainability helps us reduce our environmental impact wherever we can.

As The Front Room continues to grow, so does our vision. We’re always creating new experiences, supporting local talent and finding more ways to bring people together. Whether you’re joining us for your daily coffee, discovering a new workshop, enjoying live music or celebrating life’s special moments, there’s always a reason to come back.

Whether you’re joining us for a quick coffee, a long lunch, an evening with live music, a private celebration or one of our many events, we hope The Front Room feels exactly as the name suggests, your front room.

Together, with the support of our amazing customers and great team, we’ve built something that’s much bigger than a coffee shop, we’ve built a community. We look forward to welcoming you, sharing a coffee, a conversation and plenty of good vibes.

Big love,
Lauren
