Plant Swap

We’re thrilled to invite you to our very first Plant Swap at the coffee shop on Saturday, 27th April! This is your chance to refresh your plant collection, meet fellow plant enthusiasts, and share your love for all things green.

Here’s how it works: bring along a happy, healthy, pest-free plant or cutting that you’re ready to part with, and swap it for something new. To get you prepared, join Emma’s Propagation Workshop on 16th March, where you’ll learn how to cut and propagate your plants—plenty of time to grow something special for the big day!

To make it even more exciting, we’ll have goodie bags packed with cool gifts and vouchers for everyone who attends. Plus, we’re planning to have a special guest speaker join us to chat about all things plants, sharing tips, tricks, and plenty of inspiration.

It’s going to be a fantastic event, full of planty vibes, great company, and lots of greenery. Don’t miss out—come along and swap, chat, and grow with us! 🌿

🌿 Are you an indoor plant enthusiast?

About Us
The Plant Swap is brought to you by Lauren from The Front Room Coffee Shop and/\Emma from A Sense of Jungle. We’ve been friends for three years, brought together by our shared love of plants. It all started when Emma visited the coffee shop and, while I thought she was admiring my plants, it turned out she was actually looking at my plant pests – shocking, I know! Emma kindly offered to take the lead on caring for our coffee shop plants, and from that moment on, it’s been a plant-filled journey. Emma now visits weekly to tend to our beloved greenery, and over the years, we’ve collaborated on terrarium workshops, propagation workshops, wreath making workshops and plant care sessions to bring our plant-loving community together.

Emma’s home is filled with amazing plants and her knowledge is second to none. Whether you’re looking to introduce plants into your home or need advice on pest control, Emma is your go-to plant guru. On the other hand, I (Lauren) have been passionate about plants for the past six years. While I might not have the deepest knowledge, I love their look and presence. I believe you don’t have to be an expert to enjoy plants – whether you love them for their aesthetics or want to dive deep into their care, there’s space for everyone in the world of houseplants.

What is the Plant Swap?

Taking place on Sunday 27th April at 12pm at The Front Room Coffee Shop, our plant swap is all about bringing together plant lovers to exchange plants, share knowledge, and enjoy a mindful afternoon filled with leafy goodness.

What to Expect:

  • Plant Swapping: Bring your healthy, pest-free rooted plant cuttings or potted plants—big or small—and set them up in your designated space. Once everyone is ready, you’ll have an hour to browse and chat with other swappers, checking out potential plant trades. No swapping during this time—just looking and connecting. Once the hour is up, it’s time to make your swaps and take home some exciting new green friends!
  • Guest Speakers & Plant Stall Holders: Learn from plant experts and discover new additions for your plant collection.
  • Goodie Bags: Each attendee will receive a goodie bag packed with fun surprises and vouchers.

How to Prepare for the Swap:

  • Ensure all plants and cuttings you bring are pest-free and healthy.
  • Label your plants with their name and any care tips to help their new owners.
  • Be ready to meet new plant-loving friends and swap stories along with your greenery!

Want to Get Ready for the Swap?

Join us on Sunday 16th March, when Emma will be hosting a Propagation Workshop at The Front Room. This hands-on session will teach you everything you need to know about propagating your houseplants, ensuring you’re fully prepped for the swap.

🎟 Tickets: due to high demand, we will be adding an additional time slot if tickets sell out.

We can’t wait to bring our plant-loving community together and celebrate our shared passion for greenery! Keep an eye out for ticket releases and get ready to swap, learn, and grow. 🌱
